About Us
Working to Make the
System Better
At Journey Home, we see a future where everyone has a place to call home, where people who have lost, or are at risk of losing their housing, have access to a coordinated and easy-to-navigate system of care. A system of care that creates a safety net to catch people when their housing slips, supporting and housing them as they find their feet again.
We look forward to a future where there is functionally zero homelessness, where everyone who needs a home has one.
While there are many organizations doing incredible work to support people in housing crisis, the system-level response is still being built out and we are at the forefront of leading this work across our community. We do not operate shelters and housing, or offer outreach services, instead we work with the organizations that do. We work closely with all levels of government and the community to create change across the entire support system. We’re the convener and facilitator that helps all these organizations work together to ensure they have the greatest impact possible.
We enhance and elevate the system of care by helping the many homeless-serving sector organizations in our region. This includes better monitoring and mapping of the system, advocating for effective use of investments and resources, driving data sharing among all organizations and ensuring their activities and efforts are aligned.
We’re all working together to make the system work better.
